How we manufacture — and who we are honest about

The production chain, station by station

Ten stages from yarn lot to sealed carton. We control the specification and the inspection at every one of them.

01

Yarn sourcing & lot control

Yarn is bought against a locked dye lot, with count and colour consistency checked on arrival.

02

Knit design & patterning

Artwork becomes a knit-ready file: colourway map, gauge, stitch structure, size grading.

03

Knitting

84N–200N circular machines; terry, mesh, rib, cable and jacquard constructions.

04

Dyeing & finishing

OEKO-TEX compliant dyeing to Pantone, ±0.8 ΔE tolerance.

05

Printing

Sublimation, silicone and water-based print lines for all-over and detail artwork.

06

Embroidery & linking

Hand-linked toes and embroidered logos for premium and technical styles.

07

Boarding & shaping

Steam boarding to a locked size and silhouette so every pair matches the sample.

08

Labels & trims

Woven labels, care labels, hangtags, barcode stickers and retail headers.

09

Inspection

Inline checks at four stations plus AQL 2.5 final inspection on the finished lot.

10

Packing & export

Retail-ready packing, cartonisation, and export documents for your market.

What the partner-mill model actually gives you

We are not going to pretend a warehouse is a factory. What we do control is more useful than owning a building: the specification, the inspection and the accountability.

Mills are audited before they get an order

Capacity, machinery, yarn sourcing, QC process, working conditions and documentation are assessed before we place work. Mills that fail are not used, however competitive their price.

We hold the specification, not the mill

Yarn, gauge, stitch, size grade and colour standards live in our document and travel with the order. The mill produces to our sheet, not to its own habit.

Inspected, not assumed

Inline checks at knitting, linking, boarding and pairing plus AQL 2.5 final inspection with a photo report. Third-party inspectors are welcome at any stage.

One supplier of record

You contract with us. If something goes wrong, there is one party accountable — not a chain of introductions that each points at the next.

The right mill for the construction

A 200N fine-gauge dress sock and an 84N fleece-lined winter sock do not come off the same machine. We place work with the mill whose equipment actually suits the product.

Documentation as a deliverable

CO, Form E, test reports, certificate scopes and carton marking are produced as part of the order, not chased afterwards.

Capacity planned, not promised

Capacity is booked against your delivery window, and we tell you at quotation stage if the window is tight rather than after the deposit.

Weekly reporting

A photo and video progress report every week your order runs, plus immediate notification of anything that might affect the schedule.

Common questions

Do you own the factory that produces our order?

No — and we are deliberately clear about it. SOXMILL is the brand and the sourcing entity of Beijing Haifu Supply Chain Co., Ltd. Production runs through a network of partner mills in China that we audit and qualify before a single order is placed. We hold the specification, the QC chain, the documentation and the commercial responsibility. That is the part most buyers actually care about: somebody accountable when something goes wrong.

Why work through a sourcing company rather than direct with a mill?

Because on most orders the mill will take the work but not the accountability. We hold the specification, run the inspection, handle the documentation and carry the commercial responsibility. And we will place your product with the mill whose machinery suits it, rather than with whichever mill we happen to own.

Can we audit the production site?

Yes. Third-party inspections (SGS, Intertek, Bureau Veritas), a pre-shipment site visit, or a live video walkthrough of the line running your order — all available. We also share the audit criteria we apply to every partner mill.

How do you control quality?

One accountable QC chain from yarn to carton: yarn lot inspection on arrival, inline checks at knitting, linking, boarding and pairing, then AQL 2.5 final inspection with a photo report on every shipment. Our lab tests colourfastness (ISO 105), dimensional stability (±3% after five washes), pilling (ISO 12945-2) and mmHg pressure for compression styles.

Which certifications apply to your production?

OEKO-TEX® Standard 100, ISO 9001:2015, BSCI, SMETA 4-Pillar. Materials include GOTS organic cotton · RWS merino wool · GRS recycled polyester · bamboo, modal, combed and mercerized cotton · wicking polyamide blends. Certificates are shared on request, and third-party audits by SGS, Intertek or Bureau Veritas are welcome before shipment.

Can you guarantee a delivery date?

We guarantee the production start date and give you a dated production plan with weekly reporting. Shipping transit is outside our control, which is why we quote transit time as a range and build buffer into the plan rather than pretending to a precision we do not have.
