Custom socks, developed from your artwork or your reference sock

Roughly 70% of our buyers arrive without a tech pack — a photo, a logo file and a price point. We turn that into a written specification, a knit-ready pattern and a sample you can put in front of your buyer.

What to send for the fastest development

The single most useful thing you can send is a physical reference sock — yours, or a competitor’s. We measure it, identify the construction and the yarn, and come back with what we can match and what we cannot. A vector logo file plus a clear photo is the next best brief. A sketch and a price point is enough to start.

How a custom sock gets developed

The eight-step flow, with the first three steps doing the development work.

01

Choose your product

Pick a ready style or send a reference sock. We confirm construction, gauge and yarn before anything else.

02

Send your requirements

Artwork, logo files, target quantity, target price, delivery market and timeline.

03

Sample development

A digital mock-up first, then a physical pre-production sample in 7–10 days.

04

Logo & packaging

Knit, printed or embroidered logo plus labels, hangtags, barcodes and retail packaging.

05

Sample approval

You sign off the sample. Free revisions until you do; the sample fee is refunded on bulk.

06

Bulk production

18–28 days with inline inspection and a photo/video progress report every week.

07

Quality inspection

AQL 2.5 final inspection with a photo report. SGS, Intertek or BV welcome.

08

Global shipping

FOB, CIF or DDP with full export documentation prepared by our team.

What you get out of a development project

The construction is designed, not guessed

Gauge, stitch structure, cushioning zones and yarn are selected together against what the product has to do in the market.

A specification you can reorder from

Every development ends with a construction sheet, a yarn specification, a size grade and colour standards — the documents that keep batch six identical to batch one.

Honest answers about feasibility

If the price point you have set cannot carry the construction you have described, we say so early and propose the nearest achievable version rather than quietly substituting something cheaper.

Development on a schedule

A development timeline with the quotation, two prototype rounds typical, and bulk production only after you approve a physical sample.

Common questions

Can you make a sock from just a photo?

Usually yes, with caveats. A photo tells us the silhouette, the rib and the colourway, but not the yarn count, the gauge or the cushioning. We will propose a construction and tell you where we are filling a gap with judgement — then the sample confirms it.

What if there is no tech pack?

That is the normal case for us. Our pattern team builds the tech pack with you at no charge, starting from a reference sock, artwork or a described problem. You approve a digital mock-up before any yarn is ordered.

What do you need from me to start?

Vector artwork (AI, PDF or EPS) works best, with Pantone codes for exact colour matching. Plus target quantity, delivery market and target price if you have one. A reference photo or a sketch is enough to open the conversation — roughly 70% of our buyers start without a tech pack.

How fast are samples and what do they cost?

Pre-production samples ship 7–10 days after tech-pack approval, by express, with a spec sheet. The sample fee is quoted per style and refunded in full once the bulk order is placed. Revisions are free until you approve the sample.

Can you match a competitor product exactly?

We can match it closely and honestly. Where the original uses a proprietary or branded yarn we will tell you the nearest achievable equivalent and what it changes about the hand-feel, the durability or the price — rather than substituting silently.

How do you control quality?

One accountable QC chain from yarn to carton: yarn lot inspection on arrival, inline checks at knitting, linking, boarding and pairing, then AQL 2.5 final inspection with a photo report on every shipment. Our lab tests colourfastness (ISO 105), dimensional stability (±3% after five washes), pilling (ISO 12945-2) and mmHg pressure for compression styles.
